At Boyum IT we are committed to provide products that our customers can use to their fullest potential.
The Usability Improvement Program (UIP) was created to give all Boyum IT customers the ability to contribute
to the design and development of the Boyum IT products.
Participation in the UIP is voluntary, and the end results are software improvements to better meet the needs of our customers.
How does UIP work?
When you choose to participate in the UIP, the addon automatically sends information to Boyum IT about how you use the product
(number of configurations, number of usages etc.). The information is used to improve the features customers use most often.
The UIP does not send any Business Data or confidential information.
All data sent between you and the Boyum IT servers are encrypted.
Will I be contacted or receive spam if I participate?
No. UIP reports do not contain contact information, such as names, addresses, or phone numbers.
This means that you will not be asked to participate in surveys or to read junk e-mail, and you will not be contacted in regards to your participation.
If I choose to participate, can I opt out later?
Yes. You can choose to start or stop participating at any time using the configuration options.
Is the Usability Improvement Program spyware?
No. Spyware can collect information or act on your computer without your full knowledge or consent. UIP does
not take actions if you choose to not participate. You can also start or stop participating at any time.
Can I review the information before it is sent to Boyum IT?
Unfortunately the information can't be reviewed for a couple of reasons:
The Usability Improvement Program is designed to enable all our customers to participate. To be able to handle large number of customers sending data, the collected information is recorded so that the Boyum IT
servers can efficiently process all the data. The nature of this processing makes it difficult for most customers so review the information.
The data is sent automatically, without interrupting your work.
For these reasons, the Usability Improvement Program is not able to show the information collected.
We recognize that some customers might be uncomfortable allowing the information collected by UIP to be sent without
having an opportunity to review it fully even though the information does not contain contact information.
If you are uncomfortable with sharing this information, please choose not to participate.
